What I learned after reliving my teenage trip to ‘Lanzagrotty’ as a 40-year-old

I arranged a 40th birthday lads’ trip to Lanzarote in July 2023 to relive many of our teenage trips.

Coming back to the Balearics after more than decades was a very different experience compared with being an 18-year-old.

We needed espresso rather than tequila shots to get us through the night and there were plenty of sights to see beyond the bars and clubs including touring the volcanic region in a classic dune buggy and taking an underwater submarine tour.
