we stayed in a former arms depot that is now an airbnb

We had a lovely weekend in Gosport, Portsmouth during May 2023 when we stayed in a former naval shifting house that has been turned into a luxury two-bedroom cottage called Adventure Prospect.

The site has been restored by the Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust and is right next to the Museum of Explosion where you can learn about the rich history of the British Navy, plus it has its own craft brewery.

Across the Portsmouth Harbour water, we visited the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard where you can see and even sail in some famous ships and gunboats.
